Barbara J. Rettew

Barbara J. Rettew, 74, went home to be with the Lord October 18, 2015. 

Born in Akron, Barbara was a lifetime area resident. She loved attending and was a member of the Lakeview Christian Church. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a very loving grandmother and great grandmother. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bernice Streeter; sister, Frances Koby; she is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Michael Howe of Hartville; granddaughters, Michelle and Olivia Howe; great granddaughter, Anastasia Howe. 

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.). Funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at Lakeview Christian Church, 4613 S. Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44319, with Pastor Jim Gindlesberger officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. The family suggests memorials to her church.
