Audrey Marie Thayer (nee Rose)

Audrey Marie Thayer (nee Rose) Audrey Marie Thayer, age 87, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 8, 2018. Born in Sutton, W. Va., to Lanty and Mary (Jackson) Rose, she lived most of her life in the Akron area. Audrey was a homemaker who was devoted to taking care of her family. She loved gardening, was a terrific cook, and a wonderful mother and sister. Audrey had a very special loving relationship with her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1988; and brother, Gale Rose, Audrey is survived by sons, Gary Thomas (Terrie) and Steven (Pam); her two grandsons whom she adored, Steven and Gavin; brothers, Charles (Irene), Roy (Pauline), Gene and Thomas (Molina) Rose; sisters, Clara Eubank, Patricia (Raymon) Rose, Sharon (Jack) Walchuck, Caron (John) Long, Judy (Danny) Bryant; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be Thursday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
