Anna L. Hammond

Anna L. Hammond, age 76, went home to be with the Lord August 23, 2016. Born in Inez, Kentucky, she lived in the Akron area for over 50 years. Anna was employed as an independent owner/operator for FedEx Custom Critical for 25 years, and was a member of Millheim Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Don; and brother, James Mills; she is survived by her daughters, Donna Balthis, Sherry (Marty) Jones and Patricia (Rob) Pearson; grandchildren, Alison (Scott) Stewart, Josh Jones, Nick (Lyndsay) Pearson, Lindsey (Justin) Maio, Brad Balthis, Lexi Pearson and Sam Pearson; great grandchildren, Remi Pearson, Gabe and Alex Jones, and their mother, Lexi Lancia; sister, Peggy Ferguson. The family will receive friends Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating.
