Allen J. Sommers

Allen Sommers, age 73, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 30, 2021 after his courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his devoted family. Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Sommers; parents, Joseph and Lidia Sommers; brother, Archie Sommers; and sister, Sue Sommers. Allen was a hard working devoted husband to his late wife Laura; loving father to his son, Michael and Shelly (Kurtz) of Sarasota, FL and son, Gary of Hartville, OH; wonderful grandfather to Christian, Melissa, and Kelli (Sommers) and Lucio Castro; as well as great-grandchildren Mateo, Isabella, Lucia, and Kaiden. He is also survived in death by sisters, Ina (Mel) Troyer and Frances (Ed) Maurer; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and church family. Calling hours will be Monday, October 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Evermore Community Church, 1470 Smith Kramer St. NE, Hartville OH 44632. Burial will take place Tuesday, October 5th at 10 a.m. at Evermore Church Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
