Allen D. Croston

Allen D. Croston, age 78, passed away September 11, 2015. 

Born in Philippi, West Virginia he lived most of his life in the North Canton area. Allen retired from Republic Steel with 30 years of service and was very interested in politics. 

Preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dottie; nine brothers and sisters; Allen is survived by his daughter, Patty (Mark) Van Pelt; grandchildren, Mark Allen (Shanna) and David Bradley (Jessica) Van Pelt; and great grandson, Scott. 

Friends and family will be received Monday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), where funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ted Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family suggests memorials to Mercy Hospice, c/o Mercy Development Foundation, 1320 Mercy Drive NW, Canton, OH 44708.
