Allan L. Jopperi, age 71, passed away February 25, 2014 after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, Allan lived in Ashtabula County most of his life, moving to the Green area in 1999. He graduated from Harbor High School and Kent State University. Allan served in the U.S. Airforce for four years, retired from Bostik after 25 years and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Uniontown. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his father, Matt Jopperi; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nancy Jopperi; he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Ann; son, Eric (Andrea) and their children, John, Claire and Hunter Jopperi; daughter, Katy (Dave) Jopperi-Davis and their daughter, Maren Davis; mother, L. Esther Jopperi; brother, Bob (Libby); sister, Karen (Jerry) Salmen; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service, Saturday, 1 p.m., at Grace United Church of Christ, 13275 Cleveland Ave., Uniontown, Ohio 44685, with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Memorials are suggested to give.psp.org or Great Lakes Caring, 1530 West Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44313.
