Alice Irene Messenger

Alice Irene Messenger, age 97, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022. 

Born in Weston, WV, she lived in Akron most of her life and retired from Acme. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. 

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Messenger. She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Kathryn) and Gary (Debbie) Messenger; daughters, Robin Messenger (at home), Beverly Coggin, Karen Ledford, Sheila (Roy) Brumley, Connie Crowl, and Cathy (Ron) Cook; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren. 

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, January 26th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with burial following at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
