Robert (Bob) Berringer went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 2, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on March 14, 1933 in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania and graduated from Green Township High school. Bob was born and raised on a farm and moved to Akron, Ohio when he was 18. He worked for B.F. Goodrich for 42 years and was a Korean War veteran who served in the United States Army.
Bob was a man of deep faith and attended The Chapel in Green. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and adored by all who knew him.
Bob was an avid golfer and played on a number of leagues over the years. He also enjoyed going on fishing trips, traveling and spending time with his Family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Nellie; brothers, Wilbert Berringer and Gilbert Berringer; and sisters, Gay Goodlin, Betty Davis and Hulda Somerville. He survived by his loving wife, Donna of 58 years; and daughters, Lori (Sean) Reyes, Jennifer (Mark) Yankulov; son, Robert (Kate) Berringer; grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Cassi Copinski, Megan (fiancé, Joseph) Yankulov, Samantha Yankulov; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (June) Berringer; sister, Carlene Berringer; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Castelli officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 East Market Street, Akron, OH 44308.
