Carolyn J. Gardiner

Carolyn J. Gardiner, 75, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2016. She was born in Barberton and was a life time Akron resident. Carolyn graduated from Barberton High School and retired from Rite Aid. She was a member of the F.O.P. and the UFCW. Her life revolved around her four grandchildren and her greatest joy was spending time with them. Preceded in death by her mother, Helen (Brasko); father, Dale Traxler, Sr.; and her husband Robert. She is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Helena and Josh Glass; grandchildren, William Lawson, Ashley, Merrick and Xander Glass; brother, Dale (Brenda) Traxler, Jr.; sister, Darlene Demastus; special nieces Samantha and Theresa Demastus. Friends and family will be received 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service follow at 7 p.m. with Deacon Ray Herrick officiating. Private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
